- Cell phones already have modems in them for handling the control
- link between them and the cell site. How fast do they send and receive data?

- It seems that it would be possible to use those modems to send and
- receive digital data by putting modem banks in the cellular network that would
- convert the modulation of the cell phone modem to V.32, V.34 or whatever
- data rate is closest to that of the cell phone's modem.
